Youth Hostel Ajdovščina

This brand new hostel can accommodate up to 50 people. It has three 4-bedded, one 6-bedded, one 8-bedded room, and the biggest room with 24 beds. All the rooms are youthful and clean, each bed has its own locker for luggage and there is free Wi-fi connection everywhere. The sanitary facilities are well-kept, too. Some rooms have access to a lovely wooden balcony; there are many wooden elements throughout the hostel, which adds to a warm and cosy atmosphere.

Guests can get breakfast and they can also use the common kitchen area. The hostel offers great facilities for hosting bigger events (conferences, exhibitions etc.) as well: there is a well-equipped entertainment hall, a gallery, a multi-purpose hall and a classroom. Outside the hostel you can find a convenient entertainment area with a stage.

The complex houses a bar and the youth centre 'Hiša mladih', where many events happen throughout the year, from sports events, art exhibitions, creative workshops, concerts, traveller's lectures, different courses to pleasant informal meetings for all generations. They are 'a hub of creativity and action', as they call themselves.

The youth centre and hostel Ajdovščina is located in the sport park Pale, on the edge of the town. Here you can play tennis, basketball, football, handball, use the 'skate park' and the 'bmx or downhill track'. Nearby there is an open and covered swimming pool and many options for cycling or hiking. The Vipavska valley is great for paragliding; you can even arrange a trip for exploring the nearby caves or a panoramic flight by plane to the heart of Julian Alps and back.
