The youth hostel Pliskovica is set in a beautifully renovated Karst house and comprises the house, a barn and a big, enclosed yard, where you can indulge in the scent of lavender, play football or volleyball, prepare dinner in the summer garden or simply enjoy the sunset with a glass of teran in your hand. The house is protected as a cultural monument and gives your stay on Karst a romantic touch.

The renovated, more than 400 years old Karst house gives the guests the opportunity to experience Karst as it once was. There is an open fire inside and guests often sit around it and hang out with other travellers. The small windows, stone arches and authentic roof depict the typical Karst architecture and the spacious yard is the central point of gathering in the warmer part of the year.
The hostel includes the house and the barn. The house offers: a room with 5 beds, a room with 8 beds, a double room and a room with 10 beds. In the barn there is a room with 6 beds and one with 14 beds. In warmer months guests can sleep out in the open, under the stonecutter's shed, and a part of the yard is set for camping. For organisation of different events there is a hall, with more than 40 seats.
The peaceful village environment provides relaxation and a pleasant working atmosphere, and the unspoiled nature offers many possibilities for an active holiday. All this only 15 minutes drive from Trieste or the sea.
Many interesting workshops take place in the hostel: stonecutting, weaving baskets, herb picking, Karst phenomenon; you can also rent bikes and get a lot of tourist information, since there is a tourist point in the hostel.
