100 shades of autumn on Slovenian Karst
This year's fall is being very generous. We are all bursting with energy and enjoying the autumn colors with friendly temperatures all over Slovenia. Last weekend we went on a family trip exploring the hidden corners of Slovenian Karst in the south-west corner of the country. We were astonished by the colorful picture-postcard vineyards and took some time to visit the local winemakers and a few amazing restaurants. We got some great information for planning the details of our guided 'Walk, Wine and Dine tours' for 2016. Drop us an email, if you are coming to the sunny side of Alps and would like to hike the best trails Slovenia has to offer and pamper your taste buds with amazing local food & wine. #FallIsAmazing :)
To all independent travellers we warmly recommend staying at the friendly Youth hostel Pliskovica. You will find it in the tiny & sleepy village of Pliskovica. Awarded as the best Slovenian youth hostel in 2012, it offers a very friendly atmosphere and lodging in a 400-year-old typical homestead. Great staff & positive energy of this place will surely fill your batteries. :)
Here is another hint for the independent travellers: walk the educational Pliska trail around Pliskovica or hop on a bike and explore the low traffic roads & cart trails on 2 wheels. This is a great biking tour.
