Kaki place is a unique camp or outdoor hostel on Slovenian coast. It's located amidst a lush forest on abandoned farming terraces just 3 kilometers away from touristic town of Portorož. The camp is built entirely from natural materials, the atmosphere is extremely relaxing while evening campfires and hammocks in the shade of khaki trees provide a completely different holidays on Slovenian coast. Highly recommended!
Kaki place is no ordinary campsite. It's actually an outdoor hostel since you practically don't need any camp equipment. You can sleep in 'Istrian beds' (tents with a wooden roof, mattress, linen, blankets and pillows). You can also rent an ordinary tent with an air mattress (you'll only need a sleeping bag) and there's also some room to put up your own tent.
You can cook in a small kitchen or on a fireplace which is ideal for barbecues or just for a relaxing evening fire. On request the staff will prepare you breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The surroundings offer plenty of possibilities for biking or hiking in the hinterland of the Slovenian coast. Guests can use the old but renovated bikes for free - a great transport to the beach or Piran. The camp organizes various activities: they'll take you on a kayaking or sailing trip, you can explore old Istrian villages, visit the nearby salt pans and Piran or go climbing in one of the nearby sport climbing sites in Slovenia.
You can also just relax in a hammock, go slacklining, play table tennis, mini basketball, shoot a bow and a lot more.
An excellent camp for everyone who is looking for something different!
