In the narrow valley of Završnica, which carved its way into the foothill of Karavanke mountain chain, you will find a climbing area with an impressive 80 meters high monolith and overhanging wall, that looks very difficult already from afar. It is an excellent and rarely visited climbing area very close to Bled.
How to get there:
Leave motorway ‘Ljubljana – Jesenice’ on exit Lesce and turn right towards Žirovica at the first big roundabout. In about 5 km you will come to the main crossroad near Žirovica. Continue for another 800 meters to a small crossroad, where the road turns sharply to the right uphill. On the next crossroad turn left and follow the road until the asphalt road ends. Soon you will see an artificial lake on your right and a football field on your left. Park there.
'How to get there' sketch.
Behind the football field a nicely visible and steep path begins and warms us up just enough, so we can start climbing right away.
Best time for climbing:
Climbing is possible throughout the year with the only exception of hot summer and cold winter days.
Orientation of the wall:
The crag faces south, south-west.
Slightly overhanging plates with small handholds predominate. They call for strong fingers and a very good sense of balance. You will not get far relying only on biceps strength. The rock is just perfect and the safety equipment has been changed recently (except in the multi-pitch routes).
