The Hlebec family home stands amongst extensive vineyards of Jeruzalem in eastern Slovenia. Their farm invites you on an unforgettable trip into culinary delights intertwined with fine wines which are produced with love from their own grapes. You can drop by just for lunch or wine tasting but there are also lovely rooms available if you want to admire the romantic sunsets.
Have you already seen the pictures of typical winding roads of the Jeruzalem hills? This beautiful and peaceful part of Slovenia is perfect for biking, picking mushrooms and enjoying great local cuisine and excellent wines.
Hlebec tourist farm is situated above vast vineyards between Ljutomer and Ormož. The family takes care of 35000 grapevines and pass the knowledge and love for wine from one generation to another. All wine lovers will happily spend hours in their well stocked wine cellar, the owners are experienced sommeliers and they will gladly take you into the world of their best wines.
Fine wine calls for a good meal and they also serve local delicacies such as meat in lard, homemade lard, mushroom soup, roasted duck and local cakes from buckwheat, cabbage, pumpkins and apples. You'll be served cold-cuts even if you drop by unannounced, but for a 'big' warm meal you'll have to call at least a day in advance. All food is of domestic origin.
The farm has 7 rooms that accommodate 17 people. It's nicely decorated from the cellar to the rooms and all the way to the terrace. The house often hosts various art workshops and is a treasure cove of local arts and antiques.
An extremely nice farm in a beautiful corner of Slovenia.
