A wonderful wooden cabin hides away in the upper section of the beautiful Logar valley on a pretty meadow below the walls of Mt. Planjava. The former alpine lodge, dairy farm and partisan hospital is nowadays an idyllic cabin where delicious homemade food is served. Besides the traditional local delicacies, you will also be impressed by the gorgeous garden and the charming fireplace ambiance inside. The best culinary choice in Logar valley!
Logarski kot is the last restaurant before Rinka waterfall in Logar valley. If you are driving upwards, you will find it on the left side of the road and wooden signposts will make sure you do not miss it. The cabin itself was built in 1937, but it has been renovated recently. They offer food and lodging for those that value tradition and cute simplicity.
The Logarski kot menu is focused on traditional dishes and local products. There are various cold cuts (Savinja stomach, cheese plate...), stews (Oglar stew, goulash, 'jota', veal stew), game dishes (deer goulash, deer steaks). But most guests keep coming back to Logarski kot because of their mushroom soup, buckwheat 'žganci', cottage cheese 'štruklji' and different sweet rolls. You can also buy some typical local products: homemade jams, cookies, teas, honey, elderflower syrup, woolen and wooden products.
The surroundings of the cottage are truly incredible. Children will enjoy the playground and you can take in the view on the mighty walls of Kamnik-Savinja Alps. A charming dining room in the cabin is made entirely out of wood and on cold evenings it smells of fire from the fireplace in the middle of the room. So romantic!
Simple, charming and delicious!
