On the medieval square of Radovljica stands a 500 years old house, in which the popular restaurant Lectar has been open for more than 200 years. Delicious traditional dishes are served in the pleasant, old-fashioned atmosphere of the restaurant or in a shaded garden. You will not leave the house hungry, whether you visit it for a wedding, an anniversary, a business event or simply a normal lunch. There are rooms available in House Lectar as well and you can even visit their 'Lectar' workshop.
House Lectar is a 'house with tradition’ since they have been in the catering business for more than 200 years. Their main specialities are based on traditional Slovene dishes; they have a fairly large selection of vegetarian meals, as well as some 'grilled classics'. The portions are generous and the staff serves dressed in the traditional national clothes, which adds to a homely atmosphere.
The restaurant accomodates up to 220 guests in 6 rooms, so you can celebrate parties or bigger events. By prior arrangement they can organize a performance of a folk dance group, an entertainment program, a ride with the carriage or a visit from the 'castle nobility'.
The distinctive characteristic of House Lectar is the 'Lectar' workshop, where you can witness the old, original process of 'lect' making (shaped, decorated pastry made from honey dough). Visitors can get guided tours of the workshop (or museum) or buy 'lect' products.
Opening hours: every day except Tuesdays, each day during summer.
