A lot of effort went into restoring these old houses that many would rather demolish than spend their money and time on. Staša and Simon's family deserve special credit for keeping the Slovenian architectural legacy alive. Apartments that provide all the comfort of modern times were reconstructed inside the old walls.
The family has three houses in Robidišče.
- The first house (6-8 persons) has a large living/dining area with kitchen and a sofa bed for two. On the open gallery upstairs you'll find two bedrooms with a double and a spare bed each.
- The second house (4-6 persons) is a bit smaller but just as cute. The open gallery has 4 beds and there's additional place for two more guests on the bed sofa in the living room.
- The owners live in the third house where you can rent double rooms with a common bathroom or an apartment for 4 guests.
The owners are really nice and you'll be greeted as a friend. Upon arrival every guest gets a 'welcome snack' and you're free to pick lunch ingredients from a rich vegetable garden. The lush green yard just calls for lounging or barbecuing.
One of the houses has a room for seminars and social events, equipped with a video projector, chairs, a kitchenette and a toilet. Excellent choice for various classes or workshops for closed groups.
The surroundings are great for hikes and biking. Staša knows them like the back of her hand and will surely give you great ideas for outdoor activities. You can go for a dip in picturesque ponds of Nadiža river nearby or have an excellent Slovenian lunch just across the road in the Eco farm.
p.s.: Robidišče Stone houses open for Easter and close at the end of October. In other months you can rent them for larger private groups by prior arrangement.
