Forest Camping Mozirje is located near the village of Loke pri Mozirju, right next to the crystal-clear alpine Savinja River. It’s an excellent base for active holidays and for exploring the Kamnik–Savinja Alps. You’re fully immersed in nature, yet still conveniently close to everything you might need.
The camp itself feels calm and pleasant — partly because music in common areas is not allowed, which truly adds to the peaceful vibe. There is a wide choice of accommodation: classic camping pitches for tents, caravans, and campers; fully equipped pre-set tents; and their charming wooden cabins inspired by the rafting heritage of the Savinja River. For something more unique, you can even sleep in a hammock under the stars.
Since the river flows right beside the camp, taking a refreshing dip in the Savinja is almost impossible to resist. On warm days, it’s the most perfect natural cooldown you could wish for.
Outdoor and sports lovers will find endless options. You can play volleyball, badminton, try your balance on a slackline, or rent various types of bikes — mountain, gravel, road, or e-mountain bikes. The Upper Savinja Valley is a true paradise for cycling tours, and the camp offers a bike storage area, repair tools, and helpful staff ready with tips and GPX tracks.
If you're seeking a bit more adrenaline, the camp collaborates with local providers offering rafting, canyoning, kayaking, paragliding, and more.
The atmosphere in the camp is warm and social — guests often gather around evening fireplaces (there are several), or in the shared outdoor kitchen, where you can smell morning coffee and herbs from their garden. Grilling a fresh trout by the river while listening to guitar music is one of those moments you’ll remember for a long time.
For extra comfort, there is a small bakery, a shop with local products, and delicious breakfasts and snacks prepared in their kitchen. The sanitary facilities are clean and close to the accommodation area, and many guests specially praise the eco outdoor showers made from natural materials.
You’ll also find fast Wi-Fi, a mini library, a children’s playground, a forest educational trail, and sports areas for basketball and small football — offering plenty of ways to spend your day, whether you want activity or just a peaceful break.
