Right from the entrance we notice the interesting and colourful interior of the hostel. Our attention is immediately captured by the stony wall and the wooden shutters at the reception. While reaching the first floor we spot the old wooden staircase, 'protected' by a unique lizard, made up of small mirrors.
You can choose between 6- or 8-bedded air-conditioned rooms. The bathrooms are shared; there are also two smaller kitchens, a washing machine and wireless internet connection. Bed linen is included in the price, towels can be borrowed. The sociable heart of the hostel is the bar in the adjacent building, where you can have breakfast, too. The staff is friendly and helpful. They can help you with arranging transportation, or advise you about boat trips along the coast.
The hostel is situated in the immediate vicinity of the main square of Koper and the sea, with the railway and bus station just a 10-minute walk away. The right choice for everyone who loves to explore the rural parts of Slovenia's coastal region, but would still prefer to spend the evenings in the lively urban embrace of the historic centre of Koper.
