|asphalt, dirt road, trail|
Iška Vas village. Leave the southern Ljubljana 'motorway-ring' on the exit Ig and follow the signposts for Ig. On the roundabout in Ig go in the direction of Iški Vintgar and come to Iška Vas village shortly. There are a few parking spaces in front of the Local Community Home.
Follow the signpost for Iški Vintgar and at the end of Iška Vas village make a sharp right turn onto the gently ascending asphalt road. Through a nice forest you will reach meadows near Gornji Ig village and then the road returns to the forest again. A dirt road starts but the gentle ascent continues. Follow the main road throughout until you notice the signpost for Krim on your right (we would come to Rakitna straight ahead). Just as beautiful dirt road takes you to the summit of Krim. The view is somewhat limited, but the 'journey' is more important than the 'destination' and a local stew in the mountain hut on the top is still excellent.
The descent is not exactly for adrenalin enthusiasts, however, it is excellent relaxation for the soul and head as it goes on and on and on… Descend back on the same road until the first bigger crossroad where you turn right. Ascend slightly and reach a meadow that has a partisan memorial board at the end. At this spot turn right onto a lovely forest path that soon turns into a narrow tractor road. Descend to a junction with a wider cart road and continue along it in the same direction. A gentle descent guides you towards north. At the crossroads keep on the main road and you will reach Tomišelj village after a really loooooooong descent. In Tomišelj keep right and continue on a flat asphalt road past meadows and fields through the villages Vrbljene and Strahomer back to the Iška Vas village.
