Starting point:
We chose the lovely Firbas tourist farm for our starting point. How to get there? Leave 'Maribor - Lendava' motorway on 'Sv. Jurij ob Ščavnici' exit. Then turn left towards Radenci and at a crossroad after 250 m towards Gornja Radgona. Turn left in Spodnji Ivanci and simply follow the signposts for Firbas tourist farm from there. You can spend the night at Firbas farm or arrange a lunch on your return. It is also possible to start the tour at Gornja Radgona.

Description:
Warning: It is difficult to describe the route accurately due to the numerous crossroads - we recommend using a map and/or gps.

Go up from Firbas tourist farm to a marked crossroad and take a sharp right turn towards Kunova. Pay attention to a high 'pointy' house with a thatched roof on the left - this is the Pachamama center. An incredibly fascinating house that was created by a Slovenian-Peruvian couple. It is built from natural and recycled materials, filled with greenery, symbols and unusual shapes. You can take a guided tour around the 'estate' and have a cup of tea from homegrown herbs. You can also buy hand made ecological soaps and creams and various wooden products. An unusual addition to the trip!

Proceed straight on from Pachamama center and keep right (if you came to a courtyard where the road ends, go back). Go down at first, then ascend quickly to a wider road and turn left there. Soon, you reach Negova village where you find the appealing Negova castle. There is a lovely cafe and a tourist information point. Descend steeply from the castle, pass a parking lot and turn right at the first crossroad. Go straight on at the second one (or slightly to the left) and ride through a forest to the meadows and fields of Ščavnica valley. Here you will pass one of the natural sources of mineral water - Ivanjševska slatina.

Continue to Ivanševci village, turn left and cycle along the eastern edge of Ščavnica valley. Most roads that turn uphill to the right lead to Gornja Radgona. We chose the route across Aženski Vrh (a signpost 4 km from Ivanjševci village). Ascend onto a hill and cycle to Polička Vas village past the ample vineyards. The main road towards Radgona turns sharply to the right, but you go straight on through the vineyards and soon descend to Gornja Radgona. You have to visit the The House of Sparkling Wines Gornja Radgona or House of Champagne Frangež, where you get to taste the 'bubbly secrets' of local vineyards. :)

Head towards Radenci from Gornja Radgona and turn towards Črešnjevci at a roundabout. If you are feeling hungry, stop at the delightful Mencinger inn (about 1.5 km after the roundabout) and try the authentic local delicacies. Then continue on the main road that starts to ascend after a kilometer. Pay attention to a signpost to Stavešinski Vrh that guides you to the right. Once again ascend through the vineyards, follow the road at the hilltop and descend into Ščavnica valley. You reach a bigger road in the valley, cross it and proceed on a dirt road. The road leads past two farms and takes you to an asphalt road where you turn right. Before long, you will see signposts to Firbas farm that lead to the starting point.
