How to get there:
Starting point is at 'Dom Na Osankarici' hut. You can come there from several directions:
a) From Maribor: Maribor - Hoče - Areh (Ruška Koča hut). The road turns into a dirt road here. Descend gently on a main road towards west and after around 6 km turn left (marked). In about 5 kilometers you come to Osankarica. It is approximately 38 km from Maribor.
b) From Maribor towards Dravograd. In Selnica Ob Dravi turn left to Ruše, in Ruše turn right, cross Lobnica stream and turn left in the direction of Smolnik. The road starts to ascend. Follow the main road and after about 14 km (from Ruše), you will come to a crossroad where you turn left. A parking lot for Šumik waterfall is here. Go a bit further on and turn right at the next crossroad. In about 5 kilometers you come to Osankarica. It is approximately 37 km from Maribor.
c) From Slovenska Bistrica: Slovenska Bistrica – ski slope Sv. Trije Kralji - 'Dom Na Osankarici' hut. It is about 22 km from Slovenska Bistrica.

Description:
Go along a marked path westwards from 'Dom Na Osankarici' hut. In the marshy surroundings of the lake you walk on wooden footbridges and arrive to the lake in short half an hour. The lake is actually of artificial origins since the Črnava stream had been dammed about 150 years ago for the purpose of transporting wood into the valley. The nature around the lake is beautiful and tranquil. Find a place to rest and take a moment for yourself - far away from the crazy world. You can also continue on the marked path towards Sv. Trije Kralji or to Šumik waterfall. Otherwise return to the starting point the same way.
