Hiša Franko

After treating your taste buds in the exquisite restaurant Hiša Franko, you will gladly forget about driving back home and unwind in the cosy atmosphere of the hotel. A wooden corridor that seems to belong to the old times (although it is new) leads towards the rooms, which are bright, light and airy.

There are 10 individual rooms, each one telling a different story. They are named after memorable moments in Valter and Ana’s (the owners) lives. Some of them have a jacuzzi, others a covered terrace and a hammock, some even have access to a herbal garden. Some rooms are dreamy, others sunny, yet others remind us of Africa. But the best part of staying at Hiša Franko is the breakfast. If the weather is nice, it gets served outside in the shaded garden by a brook. And you can indulge in the freshly baked bread, pastries, homemade marmalade, alpine butter, cheeses, cottage cheese and fruit and vegetables from the Goriška Brda region.

The location of the house will delight nature lovers since the surroundings offer numerous possibilities for discovering natural gems and getting to know the cultural and historical heritage of the area, regardless of the season.

In Hiša Franko you can find a shop with jewellery, minerals and fossils, too. You can also rent a bike or arrange a massage right in your room.
