A rough dirt road leads to the house and for a moment you might think you're lost but then you come to the open meadow and find this unique stone house.
Everybody must have thought that Ben and Steffan were crazy when they decided to renovate the old decaying house. But with a lot of hard work and sense for architecture and interior design they managed to create a very special guesthouse. A lot of furnishings and decorations in the house were found on old farms, scrapyards and flea markets. Some they even brought from England to create a beautiful mosaic that impresses anyone who cherishes 'history'.
There are 8 double rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Guests can use a shared kitchen, living area and a nice terrace. All the furnishings and equipment are authentic and really cleverly used. I bet you will be walking around the house with your eyes & mouth wide open for a while.
The owners are real lovers of great food and excellent wine. They grow their own vegetables, have chicken for fresh eggs and they also produce sausages and salamis. Of course they also have excellent Slovenian cheeses and wines. Besides breakfast (which is included in the price) Ben is more than happy to prepare lunch or dinner. This is a true creative culinary paradise!
House Klavže is a perfect choice for those that want to relax in unspoiled nature or enjoy active holidays in the mountains above Baška gorge and the Soča river valley.
Minimum stay in June, July and August is 2 nights.
p.s. In summertime you can even swim in a lovely natural pool near the house.
