We could call this an urban climbing area, because it is in immediate vicinity of the center of Škofja Loka; none the less, the wall stands in such location that the town hustle is not sensed. Beginners will look forward to a decent number of easy routes, but even more skilled climbers won't be bored. The routes are relatively short.
How to get there:
If we come from the direction of Kranj or Ljubljana, then instead of turning left for Žiri on the main crossroad (immediately after Petrol gas station), we turn right towards a hill. On a T-crossroad we go right again (actually we drive straight on), and then after 10 meters we turn sharply to the left onto ascending narrower road. We keep on it only for 50 meters and then we turn left onto a dirt road that takes us to a parking lot after 200 meters.
We park near the climbing area. There is no access.
Best time for climbing:
Spring, autumn or sunny and dry winter days. Summer is (except late in the afternoon) usually too hot.
Orientation of the wall:
The wall faces towards S, SW.
The widely stretched wall offers short routes, that take place on a vertical and slightly overhanging conglomerate wall.
